Your moves ready? , Life’s a vibee.
My name is Daniel Bamidele
Firstly I AM a MINORITY from a MAJORITY STATE in a MANORIAL region.
I am Daniel Bamidele a 3rd year student at the Business school and I’m from NIGERIA.
I’m here to CONVINCE AND NOT CONFUSE you on why I should become your next “Vice President communities”.
WHY ME ?
I’m a final year student of the university having come through HIC( Hertfordshire international college) I’ve experienced a lot at the university and I also share the burden that the HIC students have particularly been faced with.
I have a huge passion for sports FOOTBALL , TABLE TENNIS , BADMINTON especially.
I work with the local football club in Hatfield.
HATFIELD YOUTH FC; A club which takes care of kids who are striving to become the next elites of our generation, by instilling them with the essentials needed to become successful ,respectful & self sufficient individuals the future, a process that has to start early.
Having lost my father this period last year.
The greatest lesson I got was; no matter how great you are or can become, it all starts in the mind. So with the right mind set , I believe anything is possible.
Coming from an African state, -to hit the nail on its head- , which isn’t the most profound in governance, Nigeria.
Ive experienced what it feel like to have leaders who get into office and -in the words of Santan DAVE- start forgetting things.
HATFIELD is more of a student community and the only thing stoping us -in my view- from becoming a proper elite institution is our involvement and engagement with the community (Uni-Hatfield & enhanced recognition of our international students.) ,
If the movie BLACK PANTHER is anything to go by , I STRONGLY BELIEVE WITH THE RIGHT LEADERSHIP WE COULD JOIN FORCES TO MAKE A HIGHLY-GROSSING BLOCKBUSTER OF A LEGACY IN HERTFORDSHIRE AND THE UNITED KINGDOM AS A WHOLE.
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR
-Was Able to work with the current vp services, Adil, on Christmas programs that occupied the students who decided to stay back during the festive December month.
-Able to have gained good connections with the local football club which would increase the engagement between the university and the local community in the future.
MAIN GOALS TO HIT. (MAKING STUDENTS MORE ENGAGED)
-Firstly, continue the strive for WIFI Investment for students, locating designated areas where improvements are needed.
-Enhanced shuttle bus frequency , especially during peak times of usage like the summer and winter.
-Increase the engagement of students and the local community. (visiting local co-operations showing our on-going gratitude to the development of the community.
