Each Friday in October, Food Hertfordshire will be offering traditional cuisine to celebrate the successes of some of the most inspirational African, American and Caribbean people. The menus will be based on the birth place of these great people.
Miriam Makeba also known as Mama Africa, was a South African singer, actor, United Nations goodwill ambassador, and civil rights activist. Associated with musical genres including Afropop, jazz, and world music, she was an advocate against apartheid and white-minority government in South Africa.
