Join our Tie-Dye Workshop with totally no experience and leave knowing how to swirl and scrunch your fabric to make fun & colourful hippie tie-dye patterns.
We'll provide the t-shirts and tie-dye, it's up to you what you create with them. You can decide whether to go full-blown rainbow or opt for a more chilled, pastel colour palette. Whichever look you're going for, we will be on hand to guide you.
Once the workshop is over, you'll be able to keep hold of your creations and wear them with pride.
- Session A: 1 - 1:45pm
- Session B: 2 - 2:45pm
- Session C: 3 - 3:45pm
What experience do I need?
Absolutely none! We'll be able to walk you through the whole process, whether you're a newbie or a total pro already.
What will I make?
You’ll be shown how to make your very own tie-dyed garment. We'll provide plain t-shirts for you to use but you're welcome to bring your own item (i.e. tote bag) if you'd rather. If you do choose to bring your own item, just ensure it's 100% cotton.
Who will be teaching me?
The Students' Union, experienced in Tie Dye workshops, you're in capable hands!
Do I need to bring anything?
We recommend you wear old clothes (or bring an apron) as dye may be spilt. We'll provide you with gloves, as well as all the bits you'll need to make your tie-dye t-shirt.
What if it is raining?
If it is raining on the day - we will be doing the workshops inside the Hutton Hall (located above the Student Union offices!)
