9:00  - 09:15      Registration Tea and Coffee

9.15  - 09:30      Welcome & house keeping

9.30 – 10.15       Revision on the Pelvic floor - A&P and its job - how pregnancy and birth can effect it 

10.15 – 11.00      OASI and care bundle including perineal massage 

11.00  – 11.30     Coffee break

11.35 – 12.15    Suturing update and after care of perineum

12.15 – 13.15    Lunch  (sandwiches and light snacks will be provided)

13.15 – 13.45    A mums experience of birthing big babies and the affect on her Pelvic  floor.

13.45 – 14.30    Introduction to Pilates and how to look after YOUR pelvic floor

14.30 – 15.30    Postnatal recovery and Issues involving the Pelvic floor in later life – Prolapse, incontenance etc.

15.20 – 16.00    Afternoon tea to finish, plus a chance to feed back on the day and to complete a reflection for CPD. 

The day will be attended by midwives, pilates teacher, an osteopath clinician and an obstetrician/gynaecologist registrar.


Secure your place on this study day today, tickets are £20 for members, £25 for non-members. The day includes a light lunch (sandwiches and nibbles) and refreshments will be available throughout the day. You will receive a certificate and the day will count towards your PD/EV hours.
