Hyperemesis Gravidarum awareness study afternoon
Pregnancy Sickness Support [PSS] is a registered UK charity working to improve care, treatment and support for women suffering from Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy (NVP) and the severe form of the condition; Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). A volunteer from PSS has very kindly offered to come and speak to us about what HG is, the myths surrounding HG and how we can support sufferers and their families.
In addition to this it is widely acknowledged that HG can have a detrimental impact not only on a persons physical health but on their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Michelle Nicholson is the first and currently, the only, HG counsellor in the UK. Michelle has also offered to come and speak to us about HG and mental health.
This is set to be a very informative study afternoon, a certificate of attendance will be provided and refreshments will be provided throughout.
Tickets are £5 for members, £8 for non-members.
