We currently have opportunities for individuals to join our bank of care and support workers working alongside our permanent employees covering vacant shifts that suit their personal availability. You will support people to live in their own home as independently as possible, which may be in a supported living scheme or in the wider community. You will assist with daily living tasks as part of support plans, which help the service users to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.
As a bank worker you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience of working with a diverse range of client groups.This includes people with Learning Disabilities (including Autistic Spectrum Disorders), Mental Health problems, young people and adults experiencing Homelessness and women who have survived domestic violence.
We are looking for caring, enthusiastic people who enjoy helping others and seeing the difference their support can make to enable individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
Experience is great but not always necessary as we provide a structured induction and training to support you with your role.
We are looking for passionate people who with a `can-do` attitude who are driven by the desire to make a difference and who have the ability to recognise the wishes and needs of vulnerable adults and communicate effectively using different methods according to peoples needs.
We have shifts available that include weekends, nights, bank holidays and sleep-ins so you can fit them around your home life, studies or other work.
You must be over 18 years of age.
