We know many of you will be thinking about setting some new year's resolutions. We have some suggestions to help you smash your goals for 2020, as well as helping you to enhance your student experience and meet new people!
- One of the most popular resolutions is to "get fit", with another one being to save money, so why not get fit for free? Active Students is available to all students, providing you with a variety of sporting activities completely free of charge. There are all kinds of sports from badminton to yoga, football to roller-skating. Sticking to your new year's resolution has never been easier
- Succeeding academically is sure to be up there on your list. We know that University can be overwhelming, but we have many services available to you to help make it easier. Our Study Smart programme is here to help you with workload management and study techniques. If your resolution is to improve your studies, then get in touch today
- Another popular resolution is to "try something new" and what better way to do that than to join one of our societies? With more than 100 societies to choose from, you'll be spoilt for choice! It's a fantastic way to meet new people with similar interests, as well as trying your hand at something you've never done before. Find the society for you here
- Putting in time to take care of your mental health may be on your list. We all need to commit to self-care practices, and dedicating time to work on your wellbeing can do the world of good. You could chat to one of our Academic and Welfare Advisers and/or get involved in our Wellbeing Wednesdays programme
