Holocaust Survivor Event

As part of Holocaust Memorial Day 2018: The Power of Words, The UH Chaplaincy and the UH-JSoc invited Janine Webber, a holocaust survivor, to the University of Hertfordshire on Monday 12th February 2018.

Over 150 individuals from the Hertfordshire Community listened to her testimony as she relayed her experiences and memories of the war and holocaust. Janine also shared pictures of her family, where she grew up and the conditions she was forced to live in during the war.

Her testimony was followed by a Question-and-Answer session that allowed the Hertfordshire Community to engage with Janine and ask further questions about her experience.

It was a thought-provoking and emotional event that was an eye-opener for everyone.

A special thank you to the UH Chaplaincy and the UH-JSoc for helping to organise the special event, as part of Holocaust Memorial Day 2018.
