How Do I Vote in the Elections

You don’t have long until voting for this year’s Election starts. You might be wondering how you can vote for the next leaders of change within the Students’ Union. Luckily for you, we’ve got ALL the instructions below.

Polling Stations / In Person

From Monday 9th March to Wednesday 11th March 2020, polling stations on both campuses will be open from 10am – 6pm. You simply:

  • Visit the polling station
  • Read each candidates’ campaign promises
  • Cast your vote!

It really is that easy!

On Thursday 12th March, the polling stations will only be open from 9am-12pm, as this is the final day of voting, so be quick!

There will also be mobile polling stations, which will be on iPads carried around campuses by our staff. Updates on where these will be located will be posted on our social media channels - @hertssu



For those who prefer to do things online, you’re in luck! Online voting will be open from 8am-10am from Monday 9th March – Thursday 11th March 2020. 

It’s really easy to vote online, all you have to do is:

  • Visit Hertfordshire.su/vote
  • Log on using your university credentials
  • Read each candidates’ campaign promises
  • Click on the post you wish to vote on & pick your chosen candidate’s name
  • Cast your vote!
