Broad Way Closures
Due to the annual Summer Ball event taking place on Friday 17th May some of Broad Way will be closed to vehicles from the morning of Thursday 16th May until Monday 20th May 2019.
The area affected will be from the multi storey car park to the entrance to the nursery. As such the Forum bus stops will be out of use during this time and all bus services will be from College Lane. The closure will also affect the disabled parking bays at Hutton Hall, alternative parking is available in the Forum multi storey car park, Mercer building, main reception and the service road that runs behind the Elehouse.
We appreciate your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
What times will the event start and finish?
Summer Ball 2019 will start at 20:00 and will finish at 04:00.
Herts In The Park will start at 12:00 Noon and will finish 23:00
What time will last entry be?
All guests must ensure they arrive and are in the venue by 21:00. Guests who arrive after this time will not be admitted entry to the event.
Is the event restricted to UH students only?
This event is UH Student plus to 2 additional guests (UH Student +2).
The event is NOT restricted to UH students only.
Non-students are entitled to attend this event, but must do so as a guest of a UH Student. All guests must arrive and enter with a UH Student who holds a current and valid UH Student ID Card. ALL guests must bring a valid ID with them (Passport or Driving Licence). UH Students are entitled to bring up to 2 guests with them to this event. Your guests must arrive with you to the venue at the same time, and be admitted at the same time. UH Students are also responsible for their guests.
What is the dress code?
Summer Ball 2019 - Dress to impress.
Herts In The Park – Casual/Festival.
*Part of the Summer Ball 2019 event is outside. There will be cloakrooms available at the event.
*The majority of Herts In The Park is outside and there will not be a cloakroom.
Do we have to pay for the rides?
The rides will be free for all attendees.
Will there be food at this event?
There will be street food tenders at the event where you can purchase food. Please bring cash with you.
At what time will the main act be on stage?
A set list will be announced prior to the event and will detail all acts, set times and stages where the performances will take place.
Will there be a cloakroom?
Yes there will be a cloakroom at the Summer Ball event (Not Herts In The Park) but this will be for an additional cost, £2 for a coat, £3 for a storage box.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged from one person to another.
Will there be parking available?
There will be limited parking available in the Forum multi-storey car park.

How much will a ticket cost me?
Ticket prices vary. We encourage you to purchase tickets as soon as possible to avoid paying more or missing out.

Where will Summer Ball be taking place this year?
Summer Ball 2019 will be taking place at the University of Hertfordshire, College Lane on Friday 17 May 2019. The location will be The Forum Hertfordshire and the surrounding grounds. Please note, parts of this event will be outside.
Where will Herts In The Park (Saturday 18 May) be taking place this year?
Herts In The Park will be taking place on College Lane, Hutton Lawn and surrounding grounds including the Ele House.
What does my ticket include?
Your Summer Ball ticket includes entry to the University of Hertfordshire's biggest summer event and access to every room, tent and stage at the event plus entry to the brand new Herts In The Park event on Saturday 18th May 2019.

Can I bring friends who aren't students at the University of Hertfordshire to this event?
Yes - as a student at the University of Hertfordshire you are entitled to bring up to 2 guests. Please note, you are required to arrive together and you are responsible for your guests. Your guests will be required to have a valid form of ID to enter this event. You are responsible for your guests. All tickets will be added to your student card. If you do not arrive together, your guests will not receive entry.
