Can't find the society you're looking for? Why not start one from scratch!


To create a new society you'll need a minimum of 4 students to form the committee. The required roles are Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Inclusion Officer. When you have at least 4 students who are happy to sit on the committee, please fill out the form below. All submitted forms are reviewed by our Vice President Activities and Student Activities Manager. When they have made a decision, a member of the Student Activities team will be in touch to let you know whether your application has been successful or not. If successul, we'll support you in getting your society off the ground!


Please note: due to the current coronavirus outbreak, causing the University to close campus, we are currently not accepting any applications to start a new society.

Every society must have a membership fee. All membership fees must be between £1 - £20.

Every society get their own society webpage when they are affiliated, here you can upload what image you'd like to go on your webpage. This can be changed at any time after your induction and you gain admin access to your society webpage. Our logos work best of a 2W:1H scale for example: 2000pixels W x 1000pixels H

Society Contact Information:
You must create a generic email address which will be used by students to contact your society. All email addresses must state your society name (e.g. lawsociety@hotmail.com). It is also advised that your society creates a Facebook and a Twitter account to promote your society and gain the interest it needs. Again, the account name must include your society name (e.g. Drama Society).
