After a period of inactivity, Opsoc is back with a mission - to support all optometry students and build a close community among its members. To do this, we provide a platform which allows members of all cohorts to socialise and help eachother during our studies. We organise socials and events all with an underlying motive to aid optometry students during their studies. We are excited to launch our first/second year support scheme where each first year student can get academic support from an assigned student in the year above.
Its really simple - the more members we have, the bigger and more effective our support network becomes. As a member you will be able to attend social events, have access to official OpSoc merch, and become part of an incredible community of similar individuals. We are really excited to have some huge names from the optical industry such as the AoP and Prospect Health involved with our society, and as future professionals our members have the exclusive opportunity to get involved with these companies before graduating.
