Here at Herts we already have more than 1,000 student volunteers! Why not be one of them?
Volunteering offers students the chance to make a difference to a local or distant community, all the while acquiring valuable skills and experience. There are many ways in which you can volunteer. You can also determine how much or little time you put into it, with any hours you do commit building up a solid Volunteer Profile which can be used for the GoHerts Award!
One-Off Volunteering often takes place over the course of a day or weekend. Previous projects nearby have included conservaton, painting schools, providing workshops for young people, festivals, clear ups and fundraising activities.
Local Opportunities normally offer students a regular role within an organisation so that you can gain skills & experience in a specific area of interest. This might be sports coaching, events, social media or communciations.
Student-Led Projects are led and managed by students with help and guidance from us. Our Student-Led Projects can be as close to home as the allotments on campus, or as far away as the likes of Fiji with international challenges.
