Being a Freshers’ Angel at the beginning of the year is a great way to introduce new students to Herts. By helping them move in and encouraging them to get involved in activities, Freshers' Angels are invaluable in ensuring the newbies settle in nicely to university life. While it's not a paid role, it's a brilliant way to gain employability skills which will come in handy when you apply for jobs after uni! Remember you can use these hours in your application for a Go Herts Award.
The Freshers’ Angel role includes:
• Helping students move into halls
• Being a friendly face to new arrivals, ensuring they have a great start
• Directing students around campus
• Talking to parents and students & answering general questions
• Encouraging students to get involved with our Freshers' programme of events and activities
