Join a team of University Students to achieve government backed Youth and Sports Development in the Fiji Islands. Make new friends, gain unrivalled experience and make a difference to children in your summer. Projects are led by students for students, supporting Think Pacific and in direct partnership with:
- The Fijian Ministry of Education.
- The Fijian Ministry of Youth and Sports.
- The Fiji National Sports Commission.
- The Fijian Ministry of Health
Join our team of 20 student volunteers as we live together in a remote and traditional community on Fiji's biggest island, Viti Levu and over 4 weeks make a real difference to youth and sports development in rural schools. The project involves teaching small group lessons and organising one-to-one tuition, establishing kindergarten classes, providing health advocacy, pioneering extra-Curricular activities and youth clubs and implementing grass roots sports coaching and daily PE classes in rural schools. The project is tough, challenging and rewarding. Monday to Friday will be extremely busy with school and sports volunteering. Weekends will be spent exploring the local scenery, climbing jungle peaks and getting to grips with daily Fijian life. The project will start and end at Fiji's resorts for government training and briefings. Our project is for young and motivated students who want to actively engage in real and sustainable volunteering and gain a greater global perspective and cultural awareness. Our volunteers leave Fiji with new found skills, experiences, rewards and a second home in the South Pacific!
