UNICEF

UNICEF on Campus is a volunteer project that raises funds and organizes campaigns in aid of UNICEF UK.

Every year we organize creative and innovative ways to raise funds towards certain projects. Funds raised are sent to UNICEF UK at the end of the year. These funds will be used to provide health care, water, nutrition, education, and protection for children. In times of emergencies, these funds will allow UNICEF UK to respond quickly to aid the ‘hardest-hit’ emergency areas.

Fundraising for UNICEF at university is a fun, rewarding and worthwhile experience. It’s also a great way to meet new people and enhance your CV. Alongside this, you would also be helping children who find themselves in emergency situations.

The society is open to all students and you’re welcome to join at any point during the year. If you have any questions, please feel free to send us an email at unicef_uh@yahoo.com – we’d love to hear from you! You can also join the society for free and send an email for society collaborations as well.

We communicate with our members through a WhatsApp group. To receive updates about our next event, join the group here -  https://chat.whatsapp.com/K4BATAmeIVa0JutcF9S5ES

We love to see new faces so come along to any of our bespoke meetings to find out what we do, have your say and get involved!

The Toxic School Run

Air pollution is an invisible but dangerous threat to children’s health. Toxic emissions can damage children’s growth and leave them with lasting health problems. In 71% of UK towns and cities, children are breathing unsafe levels of air pollution. Around 1 in 3 babies are growing up in areas of the UK with unsafe levels of particulate matter – that’s nearly 270,000 babies under the age of 1 in the UK.
