The Campaign Officer Roles have been decided in consultation with Staff, Full Time Elected Officers and UH Students via an online poll, a ballot on College Lane and a social media voting campaign. The introduction of campaign officer will look to widen participation and increase engagement for underrepresented groups and the University of Hertfordshire. The Campaign officers will address challenges faced by their representative group and work closely with officers to develop campaigns to address these issues across the academic year. The introduction of Campaign Officers is supported by senior university staff as well as staff and officers at Hertfordshire Students' Union.
Usama Safique - Commuters Officer
Hi, I represent commuter students and I keep eyes on their issues, concerns and troubles faced by them. I am looking forward to organise more events for the commuter students so they don't feel forgotten, isolated and ignored in the University. I will be campaigning for free shuttle bus from University to town centre and train station during the rush hours to help the commuter students. I will also campaign for commuter lounge strictly to be used by commuter students. I am always open to your suggestions for the further improvements.

Saneesh Kolenchery Raju - Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Officer
Hello! As a Equality, diversity and inclusivity officer I represent for students who may be subject to discrimination and to reduce sectarianism and bigotry. The UH has a very diverse student body that I believe needs not only to be equally represented but also celebrated. As we are part of a university with a varied student body, it is important to me that our university and student union provides appropriate consideration and support for specific needs and requirements that our students may have. I would like to support and empower diverse and underrepresented student groups such as physically challenged, LGBT+ as well as all other minority groups. I promise to listen to the views and experiences of students from all walks of life and to present then to the Student union to bring about any positive changes needed.
