9:32am on 4 Nov 18 I reckon doing laundry should cost a very small amount of money if not free at all. We are students not business people so the fact that we are expected to spend upto more than £6 a week just on washing our clothes is absolutely absurd. Uni should be about good experience and part of that good experiences is lowering laundry prices. I mean if someone lives off campus the landlord would certainly provide them with a washing machine as part of the rent at no extra cost and they can do as much washing per week as they want without paying any extra money, yet we reside on campus and we pay higher rent per week and we are still expected to pay for doing our laundry on the top of that. I think this is completely unfair. The dangerous one is that loads of students including myself are on a very tight budget, given that majority of us receive students maintenance from SFE and that's our only source of income really, so if we can get cheaper/free laundry then that'd mean skipping washing our clothes in order to make ends meet which leads to social problems and health problems as well. So please consider cheaper or free laundry for students
