We understand that the COVID-19 outbreak has created a challenging, uncertain and ever-changing atmosphere. We're doing our best to ensure that you feel supported and informed during this difficult time. We hope that you feel comfortable turning to us as a source of guidance, support and comfort. Students' Union Staff
Our working conditions have now changed to protect the health and wellbeing of the UH community. Don't worry, it's not all bad! We're still working as normal, just from the comfort of our homes. Hertfordshire Students' Union staff will continue to work remotely for the foreseeable future. Please be assured that we are still here to support and represent you. Although we might not be physically present, we are still responding to general emails and student queries. Where possible, our work telephone numbers have been redirected to staffs' work mobile phones. Our Advice & Support service is still operational through virtual means, should you need to seek advice

Students' Union Awards
We didn't want the current circumstances to dampen our celebration of what has been a brilliant academic year. As such, we decided to run our annual Students' Union Awards online this year. If you've not yet watched the awards ceremony and would like to catch up in your own time, we've made the video available on Facebook, Instagram TV and YouTube
We're here to keep you connected with your peers and your Students' Union while many of us are away from campus. You can share your favourite TikToks, movie recommendations and top reads on our brand new Herts SU Activity Hub. Make sure you join the group to chit chat with fellow UH students and see all the latest updates from your Student Activities team
Sport doesn't fall with the Students' Union but we know how important keeping active is right now. HertSquad have been working hard to continue providing students with sporting opportunities. You can now join in with some virtual Active Students sessions or take part in some of the HSV@Home exercise classes
Student Choice Awards
This year we gave our teaching awards a brand new look and feel. Sadly the Student Choice Awards haven't been able to completely come to fruition, but we have still been able to celebrate the brilliant community of staff at the University of Hertfordshire. Find out more about the Student Choice Awards here. Nominations will close on Friday 31st July, so there's still time to reward a standout staff member!
We held our final Student Council meeting for the 2019-20 academic year back on Wednesday 29th April. This took the form of an online Elected Officer Q&A. The outcomes and overview of what was discussed in this and our other meetings this year can be found here. You will also be able to find information about how Student Council will operate come September, and details of how to get involved in due course, so be sure to watch this space over the summer!
We're still communicating with and supporting our Student Reps so that they can continue to represent the students on their course. You can find out more about the role of Student Reps here, or you can contact us here with any Rep-related questions

The Forum Hertfordshire
The Forum Hertfordshire
With students’ best interests in mind, we have unfortunately had to make the decision to cancel all nighttime events at The Forum Hertfordshire for the foreseeable future. We have also closed The Forum Hertfordshire for future bookings for the time being, and have been in touch with those that have existing bookings. Following the cancellation of this year's Summer Ball, they have also been in touch with ticket holders regarding refunds
Stay safe and continue to be kind to one another!
