We understand that the COVID-19 outbreak has created a challenging, uncertain and ever-changing atmosphere. We're doing our best to ensure that you feel supported and informed during this difficult time. We hope that you feel comfortable turning to us as a source of guidance, support and comfort. We strongly advise you to follow updates from the Universitythe government and the NHS too. Take a look at the measures we have adopted below in line with the University and government guidance.

Students' Union Staff

Our working conditions have now changed to protect the health and wellbeing of the UH community. Don't worry, it's not all bad! We're still working as normal, just from the comfort of our homes. All Hertfordshire Students' Union staff will be working remotely starting from Thursday 19th March for the foreseeable future. Please be assured that we are still here to support and represent you. Although we might not be physically present, we are still responding to general emails and student queries. Where possible, our work telephone numbers have been redirected to staffs' work mobile phones. Our Advice & Support service is still operational through virtual means, should you need to seek advice.

Advice & Support Centre

Our Advice & Support team are working as normal, with the exception of face-to-face consultation. All advice will be given over the phone or by email. To book an appointment, and for other advice related information, please visit the Advice & Support page.

Students' Union Key Contacts

You may continue to correspond with Students' Union staff as normal by email and, where possible, phone call. If you don't have a contact within the Students' Union already, but would like to get in touch, please find some key contact details below.

Students' Union Events

With students' best interests in mind, we have made the decision to cancel all of our events until the end of April at least. This includes daytime events/activities and those run in The Forum Hertfordshire. Summer Ball, which was due to take place in May, has also been cancelled.

We're really sad to have cancelled our planned events, but we're looking forward to exploring some online opportunities! During the difficult time of socially distancing, we're committed to keeping students and staff at UH connected. Take a look at the online events we're running in the coming weeks and get involved! We'd love to see loads of you there, albeit virtually.

Stay safe and continue to be kind to one another!
